Computer Addict

Piggy Bank February 19th, 2010

I don’t know what I would do without my laptop.  I cared less if I had to lug this pretty heavy laptop to Manila and eventually back to Sydney.  I need it as if my life depends on it!

I blog and upload photos, I get in touch with family and friends through social network sites and more importantly, I do research via Google like when my kids are sick or when I need reference to monitor their developments.  Do I research sites like http://www.phenterminedietpill.org ?  Not yet so far.  But then that’s beyond the point.  I can’t live without computers.  Period.

Five Weeks to Go

Piggy Bank February 19th, 2010

Yes, five more weeks and we will be joining the husband in Sydney.  It is an exciting and scary thought, really.  It is exciting because I have been looking forward to be with the husband since he left in January and scary at the same time because by then I will single handedly take care of my two young kids when the husband is at work.

That is why I am doing my best to keep healthy, taking my supplements everyday and not worrying about dieting or checking out atro-phex reviews.  So, Sydney, bring it on!

From 0 to 3

It has been five months since I gave birth to my second bub and I still don’t fit in any of my pre-pregnancy jeans.  I used to wear a size 0 and at times 1 depending on the cut but now it’s a size 3 and some times 4!  The real problem here is replacing my wardrobe and it is pretty expensive.  I’m not entertaining the thought of losing weight or buying any weight loss products right now so I am slowly but surely buying tops and pants that I can mix and match.

Bye, Bye Fat

Piggy Bank February 19th, 2010

If there are weight loss supplements that when taken will trim-off fats from targeted areas in one’s body, I’d probably buy them.  I still do not like my flabby tummy and right now that’s one part of my body that I dream I could just slice away!  I have been veering away from certain types of clothes that will of course emphasize my tummy and it makes me sad.  I used to not care about what I wear and now, I have become really conscious.  Oh, flabby tummy; my flabby tummy, please go away.

There Must Be Something in the Air

Piggy Bank February 18th, 2010

It is a shame to admit, that since we moved to Sydney, Australia, I have been getting facial treatments only once a year.  One, it is expensive to get them in Sydney, so I wait until we visit Manila, which so far happens once a year.  Two, I simply can’t trust just any salon offering treatments in the city.  It will take time and research efforts before I could find one and with the busy-ness that motherhood brings, scouting around for dermatological clinics is definitely the last in my priority list.

But thankfully, there is no need for the best acne treatments as yet.  There must be something in the OZ air that somehow keeps my skin healthy.

Go, Grow, Glow

When I look back at the time I was pregnant with my two kids, I feel very grateful that both came out very healthy.  One of the things that greatly help with my pregnancy developments is prenatal vitamins.  Although I took different brands with my two pregnancies, both were very effective.  I wish all pregnant women, no matter what their stature is in our society; will have access to these vitamins.  It is just right to give the unborn child a good head start in life.

Whatever Will Be, Will Be

This year marks the start of our little girl’s pre-school.  In two years’ time, she will be in Kindergarten and another two years, she will start Primary school.  And before we know it, she will be choosing the degree she wants to pursue in university.  Will she someday be a doctor, a nurse, a lawyer (like a Pleasanton motorcycle accident attorney) or an artist, maybe?  Well, whatever degree she will take up in the future, one thing is for sure, we will back her up 100%.

To Move or Not To

Piggy Bank February 17th, 2010

We are looking at moving to a different apartment again this year.  Although we are a bit hesitant due to the logistical efforts and adjustments required of us but we feel that there is no harm in checking out what’s available or could potentially be better for us.  Of course, the apartment won’t be any thing like Outer Banks vacation homes, but anywhere that is comfortable, convenient and safe will be a good option for us.

Fitness Talk

Piggy Bank February 17th, 2010

My husband is getting really serious in keeping fit.  He has been watching his meat intake, making sure that he has ample fruits and vegetables in his daily diet and best of all; he has been doing exercises, too.  I remember one time; he mentioned that he wants to get a bike, which I think is a better idea than buying an exercise machine as expensive as an elliptical.  I am all for his goal to keep healthy.  I’m sure his efforts will pay-off someday.

It’s the Little Things

Piggy Bank February 17th, 2010

It used to take very long to queue at supermarket counters when cashiers have to key-in codes to get product costs.  Thanks to barcode scanners, this is now a thing of the past.  With a slight swing of the item over the scanner, the product details are flashed on the cash register right away.  This is not only a relief to consumers but also to the cashiers as well.  I wonder what other improvements we can expect to make shopping even easier!
