Goodbye to Molds and Mildew
Housekeeping, Piggy Bank July 18th, 2008
I mentioned in my previous post that the window sill in our bedroom gathered mold and mildew because of the moist that formed day after day. Because it’s winter, we have kept the sliding windows closed all the time for weeks with the blinds drawn therefore I had no idea that it’s doing our window sills no good.
I used my favorite cleaning solution and a brush, which thankfully did the job. This cleaning spray is what I use for our glass tiles and ceramic tiles, too. It is so helpful and I think companies like the Glass Tile store should endorse it.
Anyway, now I learned that I should let the air in the room so that the moist will dry properly.

Help your Child Eat Right
Healthy Living, Piggy Bank July 18th, 2008
My daughter is less than two years old but I’m encouraging her to eat right. Although her appetite varies day to day, I take advantage of her good “mood” and feed her as much vegetables and meat.
I know this contributes to her well-being, her health in general and seeing the glow in her convinces me that she’s on the right track. I believe that as a parent, I should create a good foundation for her health for her to bank on when she grows up.
She will go through changes in different phases of her life and she needs to be equipped to face them all. Not unless it’s acne problems, then only Proactiv acne cream can help.

It’s In the Genes
Piggy Bank July 11th, 2008
It’s too early to tell but it is possible that my daughter will wear eyeglasses, too. It runs in the family. My husband’s parents and siblings as well as mine are all wearing glasses.
I wish that possibility skips my daughter’s generation or better yet, it stops with us. But if that can’t be helped, there’s ZenniOptical.com that offers a good range of eyeglasses for children. Despite the cute frame designs (just like the red frame below), I still hope we won’t have to source a pair for her.
Would you believe that Zennioptical.com has 8USD offers right now? How cool is that?
[TMA] What About Indoor Cooking?
That's My Answer July 11th, 2008
Okay, so we are pretty much split for cooking on the grill, gas or charcoal. What about indoor cooking? Gas or electric?
For indoor cooking, I prefer gas. I find that it is harder to moderate or control electric stoves.

Lasik Talk
Piggy Bank July 11th, 2008
I have been wearing eyeglasses since I was in high school. Since then, I have been complaining from time to time on how troublesome it is to wear them, which I need to swap with my contact lenses when needed. Although my lenses grade is not that high, I can’t move about without them. Everything is blurry within my arms’ reach.
There are times when I thought of going through LASIK surgery. Hearing from friends who went through the procedure, they said that the inconvenience it will bring as an after-effect of the surgery is bearable. All of them became happier with their lifestyle since they said goodbyes to their spectacles. I can imagine the freedom it brings.
However, not everyone is eligible for LASIK treatment. There are assessments or tests to confirm if the candidate qualifies for the surgery. Ample research on the part of the candidate must be done as well. Meeting with the family physician and checking the Internet are good sources for LASIK information. That way, initial fears or doubts can be settled immediately.
I heard this treatment costs a good sum of money. But the convenience, comfort and brand new lifestyle LASIK treatments bring will more than make up for it.
[TMA] Cutting Costs
That's My Answer July 9th, 2008
If you had to cut costs, what would you give up first?
Grocery extras like sweets, ice cream, all desserts! I couldn’t think of other things to give up because we pretty much stick to our allotted budget.
