Lasik Talk

Piggy Bank July 11th, 2008

I have been wearing eyeglasses since I was in high school. Since then, I have been complaining from time to time on how troublesome it is to wear them, which I need to swap with my contact lenses when needed. Although my lenses grade is not that high, I can’t move about without them. Everything is blurry within my arms’ reach.

There are times when I thought of going through LASIK surgery. Hearing from friends who went through the procedure, they said that the inconvenience it will bring as an after-effect of the surgery is bearable. All of them became happier with their lifestyle since they said goodbyes to their spectacles. I can imagine the freedom it brings.

However, not everyone is eligible for LASIK treatment. There are assessments or tests to confirm if the candidate qualifies for the surgery. Ample research on the part of the candidate must be done as well. Meeting with the family physician and checking the Internet are good sources for LASIK information. That way, initial fears or doubts can be settled immediately.

I heard this treatment costs a good sum of money. But the convenience, comfort and brand new lifestyle LASIK treatments bring will more than make up for it.

My mother and recently, my younger brother got lasik surgery (so you can just imagine the clarity of my eyesight) and they both swear by it. :)

My mom got hers when it was a pretty new procedure back in the early 90’s and she’s still grateful for taking the risk then.

Can you imagine that I’ve been wishing that lenses grade would go up just so I could qualify for lasik? :D If you can afford it and you qualify… why not? :D
