In my early years of working in the HR industry, I landed a job at a start-up company in Makati. The project was to build a gas/desalination plant in Batangas (a province in the Philippines). As part of the HR team, I was tasked to take care of the office furniture procurement. I thought it was a boring job but it turned out that I enjoyed it.

I dealt with different suppliers and learned a bit about office design and ergonomics. When the expatriates started work there and they liked how the office looked, I felt kind of proud with how it turned out.
