This was taken at the Royal National Park in Sydney’s south last Saturday. The two friends seemed to enjoy the serene waters under the bright, clear skies and cool winter weather.

I felt relaxed myself just looking at them.

I am on a lookout for a good storage for my digital photographs. The latest ones I took are stored in my laptop, which I sync with my external hard disk. The older ones were transferred into separate CDs that I labeled based on the date, place or event/occasion.

Since my laptop has seen better days, with its performance becoming slow, requiring me to wait a while for it to boot up. I need to take out tons of files in there and not to mention applications which I rarely use.

I hope doing that will help delay our need to purchase a new laptop with faster ram and larger memory. I would rather spend on my photography gadgets right now – talk about priorities!

Hindi dahil gusto ko sya ‘itulak’ para maging matagumpay sa buhay kung hindi para matulungan kong buksan ang mga pinto ng oportunidad para sa kanya. Para pagdating ng panahon na kailangan nyang mamili ng karera, mayroon syang pagpipilian. Mas magiging maganda ang posisyon nya na gumawa ng mga mahahalagang desisyon sa buhay.

Sa ngayon, tuwang-tuwa syang matuto ng maraming bagay. Mga simpleng salita, mga letra, numero hanggang sa pagtatayo ng mga ‘blocks’ na nasa larawan. Sa katunayan, ako rin ay natututo sa kanya. Natututo ako ng pagmamahal, tyaga at pagtanggap. Pinapahalagahan ko ang mga pagkakataon na ito na maturuan ang aking anak.

We were strolling around the city area when my husband and I decided to stop at this alley where old buildings run parallel throughout the stretch. If not for the passersby, I would have taken a shot of each door that I saw. They just might think I’m crazy for doing so. Hee.

I just find them so interesting as they offer a nice nostalgic feel to the city.

During our vacation in California, my cousins brought me to Olive Garden. That is where I tasted the best minestrone soup ever. I remember ordering for a second serving of the soup because it was that good.

As what is normal in the US, the food servings in most restaurants there are huge. The movie “Super Size Me” always comes to mind whenever my ordered dish is served in a large plate. Remember that movie? Ha ha.

My cousin also mentioned another Italian restaurant called Trattoria Acqua. He said that it is one of the more popular restaurants in La Jolla California area. Too bad we didn’t get the chance to go there because of time constraints. He was told that the brushcetta alone will make your mouth water. Coming from someone with a very good taste in restaurants, I agree that Trattoria Acqua is a must-visit. Anyway, La Jolla is just a 10-minute drive from my cousin’s place.

When thinking of wine as a gift, I struggle a bit in choosing which one to get. With tons of types and various tastes, I would often ask friends for recommendations. Maybe next time, when I’m at a wine store, I should ask for the wine of the month. And if the price fits the budget then my search for the perfect wine gift is solved.
